The man behind Resort Properties' incredible success is its founder and chairman, Mr. Robert T. Trotta. His unquestionable entrepreneurial spirit, his wealth of experience in commercial real estate and resort development, and his passion for the hospitality industry make him a highly respected leader in his field.
With a background in commercial real estate and resort development Bob Trotta, as he is known in the industry, holds a BA from Ohio Northern University and a MA from the University of North Carolina.
He has been a member of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) for over thirty years and became the first Chairman of CITA, a forerunner to the current Resort Developers Organisation (RDO). In addition he was the first developer ever to be inducted into RCI's "Hall of Fame" and is recognised as one of the greatest contributors to the European Vacation Ownership industry.
Prior to Timeshare in Tenerife, Resort Properties was a construction developer responsible for the development of; Corporate Park I and II, The Lakefront, American Pioneer Centre, Orange Bank building, Sun Bank building, Croydon Park Hotel and Savannah Bend Marina.
As well as its ever-popular fractional-ownership Resort Properties also offers an outstanding range of condominium residences.
Starting in 1987 in Los Cristianos Resort Properties developed its first residential complex, Royal Palm. In the following years the ever-popular Royal Palm was joined by Port Royale and Castle Harbour to make up Resort Properties' outright-ownership portfolio. In more recent years the group has added to its residential developments with ownership now available in some of the world's most desirable locations; Dorrabay in Dubai, The Palmyra Resort and Spa in Jamaica and Angler's Reef in the Florida Keys.
As well as offering individual ownership of first-rate accommodation, the land on which they are built, and superb on-site facilities, they also represent real investment potential, for example from ongoing rental opportunities, and building equity and tax benefits.
Resort Properties has a phenomenal history of success. From the superiority of the company's resort portfolio, its record-breaking sales profile to its forward-thinking approach to product development, Resort Properties has spent three decades securing its position as a world-leader in Timeshare.
Resort Properties' reputation as a pioneering, visionary group began with its conception in 1983. It was in that year that the privately owned company launched its first Timeshare project, Palm Beach Club, and simultaneously kick-started Timeshare in Tenerife.
Situated in, arguably, Tenerife's most prime position in the heart of Playa de las Americas, Palm Beach Club's 320 apartments were so sought after that they had sold out, in the pre-construction phase, within just 28 months for £45 million. The popularity of the beachfront complex indicated early on Resort Properties' knack of delivering the kind of excellence, location, and flexibility that customers wanted from Timeshare in Tenerife.
Just two years later in 1985, Resort Properties exceeded customer's expectations again with the construction of the Beverly Hills Club. Securing another fantastic location, Resort Properties built the stunning Andalusian-style village overlooking the charming port of Los Cristianos. Resort Properties had, once again, created a top-class resort and the Beverly Hills Club's 12,342 weeks sold out within 26 months for £40 million.
In 1987, Resort Properties were ready to launch Beverly Hills Heights, the sister of the Beverly Hills Club. Sharing facilities with its sister complex, the smaller, more intimate resort was in such great demand that it sold all of its 5,763 weeks for £26,5000 in record time - just 13 months.
In the final year of the 1980's Resort Properties decided to take their product to another level. Raising the bar even higher Resort Properties began the construction of their "flagship" resort The Hollywood Mirage. Nestled high up in the hillside, the American Colonial style resort is the iconic landmark in Los Cristianos. It was, and still is, one of the world's premier Timeshare locations. Unsurprisingly, this benchmark development went on to become Europe's fastest selling resort when it sold out all 17,085 units for £90 million in just 28 months. Resort Properties' unparalleled consistency in outstanding resort development and phenomenal sales success was secured.
A decade after its birth Resort Properties stunned the industry again. After the exceptional success of the first of Resort Properties' developments, Bob Trotta decided to focus on resales. The motive for this change of direction was Mr Trotta's wish to fulfil the promise he had made to his owners that, should such a time come, they would always be able to resell.
Between 1985 and 1992 Resort Properties had sold over 10,000 resale weeks to accommodate the ever-changing needs of its owners.
Recognising the evolving nature of family dynamics, Resort Properties opened up Europe's first dedicated resale office on the 8th of January 1993. The demand for this service turned out to be huge and, following one record year after another - without exception, Resort Properties have firmly established themselves as "the world's number one resale company".
In 2001, owning Timeshare with Resort Properties took on a whole new dimension. Recognising a need to move away from larger scale developments to chic, super-stylish boutique resorts, Resort Properties introduced an exciting, brand-new concept - Club Paradiso.
